Details
GP2Y0A21 is a Sharp Distance Sensor with Analog voltage out as per distance from obstacle.
Reports distance as an analog voltage with a range of 4" Inch - 30" Inch (10 cm to 80 cm).
This sensor takes a continuous distance reading and returns a corresponding analog voltage with a range of 10cm (4") to 80cm (30"). The sensor package includes a JST 3-pin connector with 12" length wires.
The GP2Y0A21YK ('0A21') is identical to the GP2D12 in range, but the
detection area has been increased. The detection diameter at 1/2 the
range is 12 cm for the 0A21, compared with 6 cm for the GP2D12.
This is an integrated sensor with IR emitter, detector, optics and timing logic. Its output is an analog voltage proportional to the distance to the nearest object in its field of view. The output signal is compatible with low-cost ADC circuits including those built into many robot controllers. The sensor can detect objects within a range of approximately 4" to 30".
Infrared distance measuring sensor. Accurately determines range to target between 10cm and 80cm. Can be used as a proximity detector to detect objects. You can interface the output of this module to the ADC Pin of your micro for measuring the distance to the object .It is suitable for robotic application like Micromouse also.
